As all subscribers know, LiquidBox uses a form with a comment field. The box assemblers then manually select the products that will go into the box!
This hands-on aspect is what sets us apart from the competition. We're one of the most customizable monthly subscription boxes on the market ;-).
Many of you have asked us how best to fill it out so you can receive e-liquids that truly match your preferences… we’ll explain everything to you.
First step
You’ll be asked whether you’re an “expert,” a “beginner,” or an experienced vaper. These categories help the blend masters (yes, those magicians with encyclopedic knowledge of e-juice) understand your profile.
Beginners, for example, tend to want a stronger hit, e-liquids that go down easier with pre-made coils, and—above all—they have no problem with well-known brands (quite the opposite, in fact).
For those who select "advanced" or "expert," the instructors will look for lesser-known options from manufacturers that aren't as mainstream.

The flavors you like or don't like
The crux of the matter… the middle section of the form.
Some people only mark one fragrance as a “favorite” and eliminate the rest.
The risk is that you’ll receive a box that’s almost entirely single-flavored, with flavors that match your preferences. The curators will certainly work their magic, but you won’t have any new discoveries. Above all, they’re likely to run into duplicates fairly quickly. For example, if they check only “tea,” since that flavor isn’t the most common.
Unlike others, some open it all the way… and the risk there is obvious… but I don’t like pineapple—so why did I get one!!!!
We strongly recommend adding at least 4 flavors to your “Like” list and 4 flavors to your “Dislike” list. The flavors to avoid are truly those to avoid, so if you like “strawberry cream,” don’t add “red berries” while removing “custard cream”—and don’t be surprised if you end up receiving only fruity flavors without cream ;-).
The same goes for the mint-fresh flavor. Many of you enjoy the coolada flavor in the fruity blends but hate spearmint. In that case, it’s best for the mixologists if you “like” the flavor and specify that you dislike spearmint in the “comment” field.
First and foremost, think about the e-liquids you like. Most vapers have “category-based” preferences: for example, they like fruity, dessert-flavored, or refreshing flavors. Overall, these preferences are very consistent.
For example, we often have “combos” featuring flavors like custard, pastries, cereal, nuts, or exotic fruits, red fruits, and mint.
Nicotine Content and PG-VG Ratio
You can choose from several nicotine strengths for the medium-sized boxes.
For the L and XL boxes, please note that they are only available in 3 mg.
Why? Because these kits include vials of booster (the boosters are included). The L kit also includes small 10-ml vials of pre-nicotinated e-liquid, which can be adjusted to your desired nicotine strength (for example, 6 mg).
When it comes to the PG/VG ratio, it’s mostly a matter of personal preference (VG ratios are considered high if they’re strictly above 70; generally, these e-liquids are 80VG). E-liquids with a 70VG ratio are the most common among our partners, especially in the U.S., where this ratio is practically the standard.
Comments
If you have any specific preferences or flavors you hate (like melon, watermelon, or spearmint, for example), this is the place to put them 🙂
Comments help the planners better understand your tastes and get to know you better. To make sure they can read and take it all in, we recommend keeping your comments brief and to the point 🙂
For example, a comment like: “I like ‘flavor 1’ and ‘flavor 2’ but don’t like ‘flavor 3’ or ‘flavor 4’; my favorite e-liquids are ‘example 1’ and ‘example 2’” has the advantage of being easy to read and understand for the staff who prepare a very large number of LiquidBoxes every day.
